How was the Maple Festival?  Did you go?  What fun things did you buy?

Well after heading west for the past couple of weeks, it’s time to head east!  After talking about food trucks all of February, I thought you like this.  This weekend, Norfolk is hosting the “Norfolk Street Food Festival.”  And hopefully for this festival you can leave your jackets and rain boots at home!

I will admit, Norfolk is not a place I frequent often. I usually just see the signs on my way to Virginia Beach.  But it’s time to take the exit and visit Norfolk.  (Do you have a favorite place in Norfolk?  Where else should we visit while we’re there?). Before we take your suggestions, let’s make our first stop the Street Food Festival.

This festival requires a ticket purchase. So buy your ticket today, the “early bird” is still going on and you can get you tickets for $10 and if you want the special VIP treatment, they have tickets available for $55.  And I know what you’re thinking (I had the same thought)…tickets for a festival, why?  I have to purchase food while I’m there, why do I need a ticket?  As you have to pay the ten bucks to get in, you’ll only pay $5 or less for food you want to try.  “This will allow you to sample a wide range of flavors and options!”  Who doesn’t love a good food tasting?!

“Come for the food, and stay for the fun as there will be tons of live entertainment, interactive experiences, family-friendly fun and so much more!”  At the end of this blog, I will share all the amazing activities going on…it’s worth the $10 ticket fee!  One must I’ll be doing is trying out the mechanical bull, maybe I’ll start with this before I eat!  And as a parent, there are so many fun things to do for the kids.  I know this festival is food/drink focused, but I love how they managed to provide something for everyone.
